Speech and Language Pathologists at Happy Speech are licensed by the state of North Carolina and are members of the American Speech & Hearing Association (ASHA). Meet the Therapist

She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English in 2003 and completed the teaching credentialing program in 2004 at the Master’s College in Santa Clarita, California. She held Secondary Teaching Licenses in California, Maryland, and North Carolina and has 8 years of experience teaching secondary education in the high school setting. She enjoys family outings exploring North Carolina, time with friends around the fire pit, game nights, jogging, learning to golf, cooking with her children, serving her community, and growing in her relationship with Jesus.
Kind Words from our Happy Clients …
Services We Provide
There are many super star SLPs you can choose from in this area to evaluate, diagnose, and provide services for your child, and we are thankful you are considering visiting Happy Speech. Speech and Language Pathologists here provide an initial phone consultation to answer basic questions and determine what informal or formal screenings are necessary. We then complete evaluation(s) and provide a comprehensive report in order to help families determine strengths and weaknesses and if their child has speech or language difficulties. Therapists work with the family to develop individualized treatment plans, therapeutic services, and progress monitoring in order to increase the patient’s speech and language skills over time. Each treatment plan is tailored specifically for our individual clients. We advocate for the child and the family by providing various therapy locations to meet the unique needs, such as face-to-face therapy options in the home, out and about in the local community, as well as teletherapy* options.
*Teletherapy only provided in North Carolina and for residents of North Carolina at this time.
Please know if we cannot meet your specific needs, we will do our best to refer you to another local company. We currently have openings in the afternoons and early evenings (Monday through Friday) specializing in pediatric speech and language delays and disorders with focuses in the following areas:
Articulation Sound Errors
Phonological Disorders
Motor Speech Disorders (i.e. Apraxia)
Receptive and Expressive Language including explicit needs with:
– Word Order
– Word Structure
– Phonology
Social Communication - Pragmatics Speech and Language
Fluency Disorders (i.e. Stuttering)
Our team knows families we serve need support as they help their children reach their goals during treatment. We also offer parent coaching and modeling as well as access to asynchronous videos in order to assist families in supporting correct sound production and communication inside and outside of the home. At Happy Speech PLLC., we want to support increased generalization of skills beyond the therapy room—our clients’ communication independence is the number one goal.
